Diversity Equity and Inclusion Editor

American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology MFM, a sister journal to AJOG and AJOG Global Reports, is seeking a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Editor who, working with the existing team, will ensure that aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in our submissions and publications are addressed. The DEI Editor will guide initiatives and strategies to improve equity, inclusion, and diversity in research and publishing and act as an ambassador for the Journal at scientific meetings on these DEI issues. Typically, the DEI editor will be responsible for the review process of approximately 10-15 articles a month on DEI issues and others, as per the editor’s preferences. The DEI editor will work closely with the editor-in-chief, the other two existing editors, the AJOG MFM publisher, and the managing editor. All candidates must be practicing MFM physicians and/or researchers with an academic affiliation and can recognize and encourage the publication of good science. Excellent oral and communication skills and attentiveness to detail are needed. Interested parties should provide their CV and a short statement of intent.
