- PreviewWe read with interest the study by Dr. Salmanian et al. about the risk of unscheduled delivery in women with placenta accreta spectrum disorders [1]. The authors analyzed a large cohort of women with PAS disorders from the Pan-American Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum. Women with PAS with both antenatal diagnosis and confirmed histopathologic findings were included. The authors reported that only 44.6% of women had delivery in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine-recommended gestational age window for PAS disorders (34+0-35+6 weeks), while 58% delivered before 34 weeks.
