A poster entitled Improving Penicillin Allergy Testing in Pregnancy: Assessing the Referral System in an Obstetrics Clinic identified barriers to allergy referral and testing and outlined our plan for introduction of allergy referral into our practice; this was presented as an online storyboard at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in November 2020. Preliminary data on our referral rates during the first year was presented as a poster at the virtual meeting of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology in May 2021. A poster entitled “Improving Antibiotic Prescribing in Obstetric Patients with Reported Beta Lactam Allergy” was presented at the American College of Preventive Medicine in May 2021; this poster described preliminary data on prophylactic prescription of antibiotics for group B Streptococcus infections and cesarean delivery wound prophylaxis in comparison with historic controls.
